  hey everyone, i'm living in st kitt's and recently got disfellowshipped and also asked to be withdrawn as a member of the watchtower bible and tract society.

  as all witnesses know, this is a serious and often challenging thing to do, to stand up for your faith and belief that jehovahs people and organisation need to be clean.. i've made that stand, i've made it clear to the missionary elder here; "my concience will not allow me to associate with an organisation that was affiliated with a political organisation, or one that promotes govermental propoganda above jehovahs own word and message.

  As evidenced from your posted e-mails JG, JW's have two sets of standards (if not several) and apply them haphazzardly to the rank & file while exempting those at the top who are making such serious decisions, from any accountability to those who look to them for spiritual guidance and direction. IMHO, you were absolutely correct in dissasociating yourself and stating the facts to the elders in your congo. I feel sorry for those who are still in the dark about the atrocious behaviour of the WTBTS. I wholeheartedly applaud those who are taking a stand for the "TRUTH" as opposed to the lies of the WTBTS and those who support and advocate their apostasy from the scriptures. They could learn from your example of honesty and humility if they weren't so totally blinded by their devotion to that organzation. What a tragedy.

  BTW, congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals . I think it's wonderful!!!

  Sorry to ask this but...................

  ....................how old is your underware.

  i was sorting through my knicker drawer and there are some really old but comfortable knicknicks that i always choose, they are so old i cant tell you.. i have some really yummy underware that i keep for special occassions but never wear in the day.

  as my "special " occasions are few and far between i never were them.. if i had an accident tomorrow i would be well embarrist.. so tell me what the oldest bra, knickers or underpants do you own .

  Hey Vitty - I used to keep underwear forever too. But now, if the elastic is worn or they just look bad, I kick 'em to the curb pronto. Reason ... I now want my underclothes to look as good as the rest of my outfit (as close as possible anyway (I read too many women't mags ) Bra's don't last that long either unless you spend a fortune on them .

  As for the accident scenario, like Bill Cosby said, it won't matter, cause if you see a car coming at you, first you say "it", then you "do" it; so you ain't gonna have clean drawers afterward anyhow.

  JG - Thank you for taking the time to give us all a personal response . I only suggested you use non-web-apostate sites in case you were still wary of offending the org. Since you're obviously not, thank goodness, you're free to roam the world, and the world-wide-web in your search. If you havent read Crisis of Conscienc and In Search of Christian Freedom yet, they are real eye-openers to the inner workings and misdeeds of the apostate organization we know as "Jehovah's Witnesses"!

  So glad you finally came aboard. Thanks for the scriptural references too. I'll share them with my Bible study friend.

  Welcome to the Forum!

  I commend you for your dedication to God and truth. And especially for doing your own research and making sure for yourself whether the UN NGO issue were true. But sadly, that is only the very tip of the iceberg regarding our former 'mother' organization.

  Don't stop there. Do some research on the history of the org., it's prophecies and doctrines. But be prepared, if the UN thing threw you for a loop, you'll likely need therapy after you find out the rest.

  You don't have to use the WWW if you don't want to - go to the library. Find some 'original' bound volumes or the first 'money making reprinted editions' published back in the 80's. Don't stop in your search for truth JG. It will as Jesus said 'make you free'.

  she is not a jw although she has studied off and on throughout the years and attends the meeting from time to time.

  Dubs telling people who they should and should not marry.

  i know of several experiences of couples who got married against the unwanted advice of the busybodies at the hall.

  and i am not talking about a sixteen year old girl marrying a seventeen year old boy either!

  these were people way over 30. .

  There was a sister at my last dumbhall that had a huge behind. The other sis' were so jealous they were always criticizing the way she dressed. And she better not show her little bitty cleavage or they'd really hit the roof. Jealous wenches, all of them.

  I told her they were just mad cause their husbands were always watching her go to her seat. Mine too, most likely. So what! These people act as though JW men aren't just like almost every other male of the species. Love, love, love to look at women.
